TV Aparecida launches a FAST channel in partnership with Amagi and AD Digital
Amagi, a global leader in cloud-based SaaS technology for broadcast and connected TV (CTV), announced the launch of the FAST channel from TV Aparecida, a Brazilian communications group with a strong focus on religious and entertainment content. The channel, which operates on an ad-supported business model, was supported by the Indian company's cutting-edge infrastructure and AD Digital's specialized services. This collaboration marks the beginning of an exciting chapter for the broadcaster as it leverages the growing popularity of FAST channels to expand its reach and engage audiences across devices.

Using technology and services from Amagi and AD Digital, TV Aparecida is the first Catholic channel on Samsung TV Plus. After seeing the successful involvement of AD Digital and Amagi in other channel launches, the broadcaster trusted both companies to provide the support needed to bring the TV Aparecida initiative to life. Debuting on October 11, the new FAST channel reflects TV Aparecida's linear TV offerings, which include everything from live streaming of masses and religious events to family-friendly variety shows. The expectation is that this change will take this content to new screens spread across the country.

Another gain for TV Aparecida with its inclusion in the Samsung TV Plus catalog is that, with growth in distribution, it will achieve results in audience and return on commercial partnerships. “The partnership with Samsung represents an important movement in the distribution strategy of the TV Aparecida channel. With this new FAST transmission model, we open up new opportunities for advertising insertion, innovating in commercial formats and deliveries”, explains Tassiana Moreira, Coordinator of the broadcaster's Commercial Department.
The entry into the Samsung TV Plus portfolio is the result of intense research work, in search of new technologies and innovations in the sector, according to Paulo Borsatti, Engineering and Operations Manager at TV Aparecida. “It was a very challenging project that the entire Engineering and Operations Team at the house embraced with great commitment and dedication. A new model to reach the homes of our viewers. Innovating and updating our delivery, as required by the current scenario.”
